ABOUT HEARTHSTONE HAVEN
In the enchanting world of Hearthstone Haven, I found inspiration from my winding journey through life’s thickets. My path has not always been easy; like many, I longed for a safe sanctuary to call my own. To create this haven, I first had to become a safe space for myself. For most of my journey until this year, I was embarking on a quest to manifest my childhood dreams of a healthy family. When reality didn’t match my dreams, I made a pact with my heart to build that dream—and in doing so, I began to question everything, wondering who I truly was amidst the echoes of everyone else’s visions.

Before this, I was caught in a dance of seeking validation; I turned to friends, family, and even the church, trying to fit into molds that felt foreign to my soul. I realized, with a heavy heart, that I was living fragments of others' dreams—square pegs in round holes—leading to a deep sense of misery and loss of identity. This realization led me on a magical, albeit challenging, journey of self-discovery. It was like wandering through a dark, mystical forest where my heart and mind often sang different tunes while my soul cried out to be heard.

Amidst this enchanting wilderness, I graduated from Bible College at the age of 39, grappling with my faith, and began my master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy. This transformative experience became my guiding light, liberating me from the burdens of past agreements and expectations. It taught me that I am not inherently flawed, my heart is not wicked, and I have the power to trust myself without seeking validation from others. I learned that I am worthy and valuable, deserving of a space where I can shine, free from the confines of broken systems.

Though this shift created a solitary space, I realized that unconditional love and genuine connection are nurtured in acceptance, not conformity. As those I once cherished drew away, I knew I had to create something new—an oasis of healing grounded in love, acceptance, and community.
